Try one of these popular physical activities

In a recent health survey of nearly a thousand people, walking was the first choice, followed by biking, then gardening and yard work and then running as the top four popular activities for maintaining a healthy weight. Biking has several advantages for people looking for ways to be more active. Most people find it more fun than just walking or running. You can cover more distance and see more sights. Biking also takes strain and jarring off the joints.

Some of the health benefits noted in the research of people who participate in regular physical activity are:

  • Lower blood pressure
  • Less incidence of diabetes
  • Fewer heart attacks and strokes
  • Fewer cancers
  • Better weight management
