About Us

We care for the special hearts of women. We empower you to do the same. Together, we can defeat our #1 killer.

Fighting for Women's Heart Health

The Karen Yontz Women's Cardiac Awareness Center is a nationally recognized, not-for-profit resource center dedicated to decreasing the incidence and impact of heart disease in women. A part of the Aurora Health Care system, our non-clinical resource center is located in the main Galleria lobby of Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Most women do not know that heart disease is the number one killer of women in the U.S. Our goal is to change that by raising awareness and empowering women with the tools and information they need to lead a more heart-healthy lifestyle. We offer a wide range of services — on-site, online, and in the community — promoting wellness and advocating for early diagnosis and treatment for women with cardiac disease.

"It's a feel-good place that takes some of the stress off and gives you a place to go to ask questions, get information, or just sit and relax."
